Teenage Eve

Well, today is teenage eve at our house.

Meaning tomorrow morning our first born will wake up as a teenager.

*sigh*

This is turning out to be the hardest milestone for this mama's heart, yet. With many more to come, I am sure.

But there is a funny note to add.

I did the math and this will be the beginning of 17 years of being a parent to a teenager. Something to look forward too right?!?!

Good Lord I Feel SO VERY old knowing she is turning 13. It seems like just yesterday you were pregnant with her and we were all where we were then.

My how things have changed and we are all so much better in the end.

Oh my goodness. What a frightening thought! I just did some math of my own. As it stands now, we will have only have 14 years of parenting teens, but the part that got me was that when Ella turns 13 Kaylee will be 20! AHHHH.....

I'm now in my 2nd year as a teenager's mom. So if I do the same math you did, I get 21 STRAIGHT years of teenager-hood. Oh my goodness. When Aaron turns 13, Jesse will be turning 27 the next month. How nuts is that???
