Mother's Day

Mother's Day was so nice at my house. Tim got up with the girls and cooked me breakfast! It was so sweet. I got a certificate for a professional house cleaning to be used whenever I need it before the baby comes. WHOOHOO!! Mackenzie made me the sweetest book and it has a very sweet poem about what it means to be a mom. It made me cry, of course. We went to church and then had Tim, Kit, Amy, Scott, Philip and Lydia over for a lunch that Tim made. He even made Maw Maw's potato salad. He did such a good job. Maw Maw would have been proud. All in all it was a very relaxing day with the fam.

Homeschool Conference

We had a great time at the conference. It was really cool to be able to see all the different curriculum up close and personal. We are almost done buying every thing for next year (which is actually going to start for us in July.) But the best part was just being re-energized in the Word. Tim and split up and went to different seminars on parenting. It was so awesome. You really need to take this time, maybe once a year, to just immerse yourself in learning what God has to say about our very important jobs as parents. It was a nice little break and we got so much good teaching. We missed the girls but they had a great time.

Home Schooling Conference

Some of you know this already, but we are going to be homeschooling in the fall. So this weekend we are going to the GHEA conference in College Park. We will be spending the night Friday night and coming home on Sat. And we will NOT be taking our kids!! My mother-in-law will be keeping them for us. I am very excited about what we will learn at the conference. And I am also nervous about leaving the littles, especially Leah. This will be the first time leaving her. But it will be nice to have a date with my husband and try to gain more info on curriculum for next year!
