I am an enabler

So, when Tim and I met, he liked UGA. When he found out that my dad and stepmom went to Tech, then he liked them even more. :) I have been playing both sides of the fence until this year, when I really got into UGA. It's been so fun to have this hobby for he and I to do together. We DVR the games and watch them when the girls go to bed. And I am one of those girls who actually knows what's going on on the field (thanks to my Dad!) So this has just fed this addiction that my husband has. And taking him to the game was just the push he needed. He has been crazy about finding tickets to another game. So guess what? Yep, you guessed it. We're going to the UGA/Tech game. I told him he has to sell something to pay for the tickets. HAHA!

American Girl

Ok, so Mackenzie has had an Americal Girl doll for years. It was a hand me down from my sister. We have since passed her to Madi and Leah to play with. They dress her, she has a bed and a chair in Madi's room, etc. No biggie right? Well today we went to the American Girl Doll store for the first time. I was in SHOCK!!! I couldn't believe how much the stuff costs. It's not just the $100 doll. Which alone is staggering. It's all the accessories. If there is any material thing you can imagine, it's there, doll-sized. We watched while 2 dolls got their hair done and one even got her ears pierced. When their "mommies" came to pick them up, they got instructions on how to care for their new dos. I almost wish we hadn't have gone in. I mean seriously, when you have three little girls that are all going to want these things, someone will have to get a 2nd job!! We almost had to pay for an $80 bathtub that Vivian tried to climb in. I think we will be waiting for a few years before we go to the cafe with our dolls. If I am going to spend hundreds of dollars on lunch and a doll salon, I want them to remember going.

Thoughts on the election

For all the people who voted for the first time, I have to wonder if they knew the issues or were just voting based on skin color. Do they realize what is going to happen to this country and to the others that we support no longer? I am honestly sick to my stomach today thinking about these things and how this is going to affect my family personally. But through those fears I have to trust God that He has a plan for our nation and it is good, even if it doesn't seem good right now.

I am so mad at myself!!!

I cut Vivian's hair. My daughter has a hair problem that I have been looking at for several months now. She had a mullet. So tonight after bath, I just figured that I would snip the stringy mullet hair off. Well, I did and I immediately was sorry. It is so short. And straight. No curl back there whatsoever. Please note here that neither Madison nor Leah has had a haircut yet. :(
