So much for taking the week off

I can't help myself. I see a deal and I have to get it. So I went to Publix last night. The deals were just too good to pass up. Plus my children were CRAZY!!!! yesterday, so it was a nice break. :)

The difference in boy babies and girl babies

We are experienced in pink only. So imagine my surprise when I went to visit Matt and Lisa in the hospital yesterday with my friend Amy and one of the twins pee peed out of his crib thing and across the room!! It was like an over-the-shoulder move. It was a lot of pee pee for such a little baby. It went about 3 feet or so and hit his grandpa. That is definitely a first for me. :)

Babies

So I really thought that I didn't want anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love mine. But I was pregnant and nursing for a loooooooonnnnggggg time. And I really though that I was good. We want to adopt and I really think we will in the next few years. But in the last few weeks, I have just had this overwhelming want for a baby. I really think it's due to the fact that it's what I know best. I think it's just an emotional thing. But my baby is growing up and this is the longest we have ever gone in our marraige without having another baby. So while I wait to adopt, I will love on my friend's babies. In fact my friend Lisa had some new babies today! 2 to be exact. 2 sweet boys named Aaron and Christian. Aaron was 5lbs 5oz and Christian was 8lbs 9oz!! I can't wait to see them. I told the girls that they were born today. Vivian seemed all for having a boy baby too. Madison, on the other hand, said we definitely do not need a boy baby at our house. She said we can just go see the new twins. :)

Saving $$

So, is there a limit to this couponing thing? I am thinking yes. I actually got so much stuff tonight at Publix that I was embarrasing myself! :) I think I am going to take a week off, if I can. Tim says that I wont be able to . He says I am addicted. I don't know, check out my bargain site and tell me what you think. Do you think I am addicted? :)

My girlies are gone to the beach

Mackenzie and Madison are gone to the beach with Nana and Papa. I dropped them off this morning. Then the rest of us will head down there on Wed evening. Madison has never been away from us this long, especially not on vacation. But she was very big and excited to go. It will be good for her I know, but I am still a little sad today.

Perspective on skin color

Madison is doing video school this year for Kindergarten. It's a real class and everything, just video taped. So she has "friends" in her class and they are very real to her. Her best "friend" is Nicole who is African American. Now, we have been doing this for four weeks and she had never mentioned Nicole's color. Actually she has never mentioned anyone's color ever. So today she said, "I don't like Miles." And I said why not? She said "because he's a boy and he has brown skin and I don't like the color brown." I was caught off guard so the first thing I said was, "Have you noticed that Nicole has brown skin too?" She looked at me for a minute and said, "Huh, well she's my best friend." I don't think she had even made the connection but b/c Miles is a boy, she noticed he was a color that she doesn't like. So of course, we went on to talk about color of skin, eyes, hair, piercings (my sister had her lip pierced which made for interesting commentary with the kids ) I said, "what if I said I only liked girls with blonde hair?" Do you think I could love Leah but not you?" She said, "No way, not good!" Then she said, "Mama, God loves Miles and I love him too!"

Our night out

Last night we went to Tim's cousin's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding. We got to dress up for the first time in a very long time, maybe since our wedding. The last wedding we went to I was 40 months pregnant with Leah, so who knows what I looked like at that one.

No brain cells

This did all happen while I was thinking about what was going on with Erica (see my previous post) but still...

I am out of black ink and I needed to make a return at Walmart. So after lunch I loaded the girls up and drove to Walmart. I get to Walmart, find a parking space near a cart drop off, get a cart, put the cart cover in it, put everyone's shoes back on (they like to remove them the second we get in the car) head in, get the ink, get 10 pks of clean team wipes, play musical cart with who wants to ride and who wants to walk, pick up Leah who is running when she's not supposed to be, runs into a lady and starts screaming at the top of her lungs, quickly switch seating arrangements so she is not walking anymore, grab an All You magazine, load all the things on to a belt at a register, wait for the lady to return to check us out, lady does not return, load things back into the cart and reload at another register, give her my coupons, wait while she thoroughly looks over each one, pay, get the girls in the car, go put the cart back, buckle everyone and head home. I notice on my way that I didn't do the return. Oh well no biggie, I have got more coupons that will expire soon so I will be back. So here I am, ready to put the cartridge in so I can print the coupons I need during nap..... and it's the wrong cartridge. It's the color one.

*Updated*Please pray for my sister!!!!

My stepmom just called and is on the way to the ER with my 15-year old sister. About an hour ago she broke out in a cold sweat and started feeling sick. Now she's vomiting violently, can't walk, can't feel her legs or arms and is cramping in her abdomen area. Please pray!!! I will update when I hear something.

Update:She is doing better. The dr's think she may have a twisted ovary or something of that nature. She is not in pain anymore and all of the other syptoms have stopped. They think the pain was causing all of the other things. So they are doing some tests to find out what was causing the pain. Thank you so much for your prayers!!

Has gotten me psyched about poilitics! I love her. Her speech was amazing. I was so happy to see her squash the media and all their nonsense. I think we are in for a great 4 years!

Weight loss update

Well, the challenge ends on 9/21. I have lost 15 lbs during it, which brings my total to 29lbs!! I am not going to win the challenge but I have lost 13% of my body weight over the last 11 months, 7% of that has been during the challenge. We are going to head right into a new one that will carry us through the holidays and hopefully get me almost to my goal.

...Is Vivian's favorite word these days. Over the weekend (literally right before our eyes) she went form being this sweet, compliant baby, to a arugmentative teenager. Everything is no. Even when she means yes. Then it's "noyes!!" We went over to some friend's house over the weekend and I looked over and she's standing on their dining room table!! Um, what?!?!?!? She still calls herself "sweet" though. :)

So if anyone would like to give Tim a birthday present.....
